More on Dudley

There haven't been a whole lot of blogworthy events going on around the Metzger household lately. Things will pick up with summer coming. For now here's a little bit more on the dog.

This is Dudley's first bath. Note how you are unable to see the bottom of the tub through the water. That's all dirt...

This is one of the few toys he will actually play with..

And this is Dudley looking like an ad for Doggie Weight Watchers...

Hopefully we will have some updates with real human beings soon. More pics here.

Revisiting The Bridge Pictures

This was the original purpose for going to take these pictures. We had been trying to think of something to put above our mantle for a while and somehow this idea just popped into my head.

Lot's going on this weekend so we will have a few more bloggable items coming your way.

Phoenix Bridges

We will take a break from our regularly scheduled house update to bring you a few local photos.

With the wifey out of town I decided to go exploring a little bit. I hit these bridges at just the right time of day with the sunlight dimming. Kind of reminded me of Tim's fall photos. I took a lot more photos and I have an idea what to do with them but you'll have to wait to see those. Here are the rest of the photos.

100th post and Photo Map

To commemorate the 100th post on this fine blog, I have combined two of my favorite things: pictures and maps. That's right, my wife makes fun of me, but I think my love of maps began when I would sit in Social Studies class and zone out for hours by staring at the giant maps of Europe or Siberia sitting in front of me. This "study time" has paid off in numerous ways, I don't need a GPS, I can help my brother when he gets lost driving, and I can answer a lot of Geography questions on Jeopardy.

Recently I had about 12 hours to kill while sitting in a hotel in Miami. I discovered that Flickr has a feature that will allow you to place the location of your photos on Yahoo! Maps (Google Maps is the best...). So I sat down and took the time to place our travel photos on different parts of the map.

For example, if you click on the set of photos I took while in Miami, if you look just below the title "Miami" there is a link that says "Map" and you can see where the set of photos was taken.

Just a fun feature to take this blog from JV to Varsity. Or I have no life. One of those two.

Medieval Times is Everywhere

So last night after arriving home and settling in from a weekend away, the wifey and I settled in for the evening, relaxed, graded some papers and watched some television. Now as you remember, not too long ago we told you about our trip to Medieval Times. While we were there, we sat in the Green section which meant we supported the Green Knight (who turned out to be the bad guy). Here he is pictured below.

Now on last night's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, the family getting a new home was way into Knights, Chivalry, and Medieval Times. So for the house demolition, they did a medieval theme with horses, battering rams, etc. Lo and behold, look who shows up.

I spent the whole night yelling at the TV trying to warn Ty & friends that he is the bad guy. I wouldn't trust that house if I were you.

Weaver Kids

CZ and I were trying to entertain a two year old and a toddler with my camera. Now as I sit back and look at this post I am reminded of a great quote from a wise, wise man...

"Yeah, I'm trying to lure these kids into my booth. But, uhh, kids are very weary of being lured, these days. Thank you Dateline." - Michael Scott

Here are the rest of the pictures.

A couple of new pix

A few pictures from the Hunt Valley Men's Retreat this weekend.

And our new dining room set arrived today. The cabinet on the left will be gone soon.

Fun with iPhoto

CZ and I took a trip to Loch Raven Reservoir this evening right around sunset. We both played with a couple of the pictures in iPhoto and came up with very different finished products.

These are basically two sets of three photos. The first photo is the original, the next two have been altered. I prefer the black and white with the "edge blur" effect while CZ is more partial to the enhanced color.
Here are all the photos. Any thoughts?

Throwback Thursday: Copier Demolition

Basically, we dress up like pimps and beat the snot out of an old copier. And in case it's hard to see in the video, I almost get impaled from the broken golf club.
