Miami

I'm tempted to show you another weather report comparing Baltimore to Miami, but I think you get the idea. It's gorgeous here.

Lots of fun stuff to go and explore. The Heat play the Pistons tonight so if dinner doesn't go too long I may be able to stop by and check out D. Wade and friends play. All the pictures here.

Final photos from San Diego

I really didn't mean to inundate you with sunset photos, but my time in San Diego was so busy that I really didn't have much time to photograph anything else. Plus when you are looking out your back window at a scene like this, it's hard to not want to take pictures. Timmy got some good shots here and here.

My flight home took a quick stop in Denver. It was very cool to see the Pacific Ocean, Mexico, the Rockies, and home all in one day.

The rest of the photos can be found here.

Sunrise, Sunset

So I guess one of the perks of going out to the west coast is that waking up at a "normal" time is actually really early out here. I was able to get a couple of morning and evening shots around the hotel.

As well as creepy statues placed around the courtyard. Freaks me out every time.

And then after dinner I saw Charles Barkley in the hotel lobby (unfortunately I didn't have my camera). No joke. He was there by himself, no homeboys around or anything. MJ must have been at the casino down the street. When I checked back later I found Sir Charles back at the bar. I guess this didn't teach him anything. Back in San Diego

I'm really trying not to be a jerk right now.  But as I write this entry, here is the weather back home in Timo...

And now for your weather update in San Diego...

It was so cold in Baltimore that my finger tips were throbbing as I chased my shuttle bus from long term parking to the terminal.  I'll have more pictures tomorrow.

Filming in a Barn

There is a reason we have a "random" label. It's for times like this when you find yourself in barn with sub-freezing temperatures filming horses, dogs, and alpacas (not llamas). But nonetheless that's where I found myself, in Charlottesville, VA on a film shoot. A few more pictures here.

Team Towson Camping Trip

So in what is becoming a new tradition, Team Towson decided to go on a camping trip a couple of weeks ago. The Metzger family had gotten a tent and camping supplies for our wedding (Thanks Rich and Nancy) and so it gave us an opportunity to try out our new stuff.

The guys were in charge of leaving early and setting up camp and we headed up to a place called Morris Meadows. Long story short: it was terrible. We would have slept on a gravel parking lot.

So once we left hell Morris Meadows we decided to set up camp in the Weaver's backyard. The tent worked great and we ended up having a great time.

To top it off the following morning we decided to get a group picture. Unfortunately this was the last picture I could get before the battery died on the camera. Pretty much summed up the whole experience.

All the pix can be found here.

Throwback Thursday: Panoramania

This week's Throwback Thursday goes way back. All the way to this past weekend. I have just arrived back in beautiful Baltimore where the temperature is in the 20's and snow is on the ground. It was nice to get away while I could. Here are some panoramic shots that I have been able to piece together since I've been home.

Here is the view from the balcony of my room. You can see the Pacific Ocean barely in the distance.

This is what Joshua Tree National Park looks like from the top of a pile of rocks.

And here are a couple of shots from the top of Keys View at Joshua Tree National Park.

According to a map at the peak of Keys View you can see the San Andreas Fault and even catch a peak of Mexico off in the distance.

La Jolla (pronounced La Hoya)

Today was a pretty good day. I set foot in the Pacific Ocean for the very first time, I ate at In-N-Out Burger for the very first time, and stopped by Petco Park home of the San Diego Padres. Many thanks for Tim's friend Jen who drove us around from place to place.
Now for the picture of the day...

Ah, thank you. For the rest of the pictures click here.

Joshua Tree National Park

Tim and I had a good break today so we decided to rent a car and go visit the Joshua Tree National Park which is east of Los Angeles. We got to the front desk and the only car available was a Mercedes Benz or an SUV. They were both the same price so for the sake of gas mileage we went ahead and rented the Benz. All of my pictures can be found here and all of Tim's photos can be found here.

Saint Diego

After 5 hours of riding in a plane, I have arrived in San Diego with T-Sizzle. Clear skies, sunny weather, and an open buffet at dinner have welcomed me to my first trip to the West Coast. Check out all the pictures here.
