Access United

I've been working with DC United for the past few years and this season I'll be in charge of producing a weekly news magazine for the team's website. Check it out.

Imitation is the finest form of flattery

The wife and I will be out of town this weekend at Lake Champion as I do program Geese and Horrigan for a Campaigner Weekend. We decided a video would be something funny to add to our incredibly hilarious, thought-provoking, and creative program for the weekend.

The basic premise is that is that Geese is a plumber and Horrigan is a nerd. They are both trying to get people to join their clubs and that's where I come in and pick on them. At some point they will say, "Man, that guy has been picking on us for years..." and this video will commence...

Now 4 years ago, the three of us were also in charge of program for a weekend. We had a similar idea for a video...

As you can see, we subscribe to the theory that the wheel does not need to be re-invented.

YL Visits the Batley's

Yup, that's our Associate Pastor's family. The week after we showed up at their house at 6:30 AM and no one was awake to let us in. Good times.

Throwback Thursday: Jars of Clay

Sorry for the lack of posts lately. Work, planning a wedding, and house hunting apparently take up a lot of time.

This is a student film I made in the fall of '04 while taking a documentary class at Towson. It was one of my favorite projects to work on. I look at it now though and think about all the things I would have done differently when filming, editing, etc. The film turned out OK though. It was awesome to meet the band and they were very gracious to let me wander around.

Throwback Thursday: The Gallon Challenge

Filmed in January of '06, I just recently got around to editing this for my brother. I gave this to him as one of his Christmas presents (this year). Please do not watch if you are "weak of stomach".

Throwback Thursday: TDS

So amidst all the craziness of getting engaged last week, Throwback Thursday was neglected. Therefore due to popular request, I dug up an old Gary Wilmer classic. Enjoy.

Throwback Thursday: This Camp is Shapin' Up!

There's a lot more to this video than just Christy and Susan walking out of an outhouse. Inside jokes. Ask me to explain the next time I see you if you would really like to know.

Throwback Thursday: Copier Demolition

Basically, we dress up like pimps and beat the snot out of an old copier. And in case it's hard to see in the video, I almost get impaled from the broken golf club.

A quick "Thank You" to D.C. United fans from the players that I put together recently.

Throwback Thursday: Music Video

Old school video with some of our Young Life guys back in the day. Our favorite line had to be Ben Graham's "Cause his armpits smelled like herbs and spices." Mostly because if you notice, those were the only words Benjamin could remember from the verse he wrote.

Throwback Thursday: Money

The more I watch this the more I'm reminded of a quote by Kevin Antlitz when he said, "We're going to be old men and look back at this and say, 'We were idiots!'" Yes Kevin, you have a point.
