Cherry Blossoms 2009

The Zoo

OK so this post is interesting because it can be hilarious, sad, disgusting and downright dirty. On Saturday CZ and I took a trip to the zoo.

We saw lots of cool animals...


The beauty of nature...


We visited the giraffes right after one of them had been euthanized....


And then came something that made us want to laugh and vomit all at the same time. Let's just say this is a little re-enactment...

Cherry Blossoms (Or what's left of them)

CZ and I needed a break from working on the house and wedding stuff so we took a trip to D.C. today to see the Cherry Blossoms. The problem is that we were probably about a week too late. We still had a lot of fun though. The complete set can be found by clicking here.

Fun with iPhoto

CZ and I took a trip to Loch Raven Reservoir this evening right around sunset. We both played with a couple of the pictures in iPhoto and came up with very different finished products.

These are basically two sets of three photos. The first photo is the original, the next two have been altered. I prefer the black and white with the "edge blur" effect while CZ is more partial to the enhanced color. Here are all the photos. Any thoughts?

Joshua Tree National Park

Tim and I had a good break today so we decided to rent a car and go visit the Joshua Tree National Park which is east of Los Angeles. We got to the front desk and the only car available was a Mercedes Benz or an SUV. They were both the same price so for the sake of gas mileage we went ahead and rented the Benz.
