Imitation is the finest form of flattery

The wife and I will be out of town this weekend at Lake Champion as I do program Geese and Horrigan for a Campaigner Weekend. We decided a video would be something funny to add to our incredibly hilarious, thought-provoking, and creative program for the weekend.

The basic premise is that is that Geese is a plumber and Horrigan is a nerd. They are both trying to get people to join their clubs and that's where I come in and pick on them. At some point they will say, "Man, that guy has been picking on us for years..." and this video will commence...

Now 4 years ago, the three of us were also in charge of program for a weekend. We had a similar idea for a video...

As you can see, we subscribe to the theory that the wheel does not need to be re-invented.

Medieval Times

You know, I always wondered what the people from the Renaissance Festival would do with their spare time.

We found them.

Worst. Job. Ever.

All in all it was a fun night. It wouldn't have been worth it without the coupon though. More pictures are here.

Final photos from San Diego

I really didn't mean to inundate you with sunset photos, but my time in San Diego was so busy that I really didn't have much time to photograph anything else. Plus when you are looking out your back window at a scene like this, it's hard to not want to take pictures. Timmy got some good shots here and here.

My flight home took a quick stop in Denver. It was very cool to see the Pacific Ocean, Mexico, the Rockies, and home all in one day.

The rest of the photos can be found here.

Sunrise, Sunset

So I guess one of the perks of going out to the west coast is that waking up at a "normal" time is actually really early out here. I was able to get a couple of morning and evening shots around the hotel.

As well as creepy statues placed around the courtyard. Freaks me out every time.

And then after dinner I saw Charles Barkley in the hotel lobby (unfortunately I didn't have my camera). No joke. He was there by himself, no homeboys around or anything. MJ must have been at the casino down the street. When I checked back later I found Sir Charles back at the bar. I guess this didn't teach him anything. Back in San Diego

I'm really trying not to be a jerk right now.  But as I write this entry, here is the weather back home in Timo...

And now for your weather update in San Diego...

It was so cold in Baltimore that my finger tips were throbbing as I chased my shuttle bus from long term parking to the terminal.  I'll have more pictures tomorrow.

Filming in a Barn

There is a reason we have a "random" label. It's for times like this when you find yourself in barn with sub-freezing temperatures filming horses, dogs, and alpacas (not llamas). But nonetheless that's where I found myself, in Charlottesville, VA on a film shoot. A few more pictures here.

Legwarmers Concert

A few weeks ago, some of our friends who are 80's music enthusiasts decided to re-live the worst decade for music in human history the glory years and attend a concert by an 80's cover band concert known as the Legwarmers. To make the evening even more special, the concert happened to be during a very important game (God bless DVR).

A few more pictures can be found here.
